Sally has spent the vast majority of her career practising in the area of Family Law specialising in child protection law. She graduated from University of Otago with a Bachelor of Laws in 1986 and obtained a Master of Laws specialising in Family Law from Monash University in Australia in 1995. She has been admitted to the High Court of New Zealand, the Supreme Court of New South Wales and the Supreme Court of Victoria. Before returning to New Zealand in 2005, she worked for 13 years as a Child Abuse Prosecutor at the Children's Court in Melbourne and also as a lecturer of Child Law. Prior to that she worked in London for a number of years practising in the area of Family Law.
Sally joined Cavell Leitch Law in 2006 and is an Associate. She practises in the Family Law area including: child issues, welfare guardian and property management applications, estate claims, relationship property issues and dissolution.
Sally has extensive experience in litigation work and has a reputation for accurate and succinct legal advice. Her experience in the area of child law enables her to deal effectively and sensitively with complicated family law matters.
Sally works part time and has three young children and in her spare time enjoys spending time with family and friends.
