Update
On 15 March 2019, 50 individuals tragically lost their lives in the devastating attacks on the Masjid Al Noor and Linwood Mosques, in Christchurch. In response to this tragedy, Immigration New Zealand have announced that they will be expediting visa applications, for the family members of those killed or injured.
How to apply
Impacted family members can follow this process to apply for an emergency visa:

Apply online for a visitor visa, link here.

Send an email to NZEmergencyVisa@mbie.govt.nz.
This should include:

The date the application was submitted.

The visa reference number (in the subject line).

The name, date of birth and passport number of the visa applicant.

Name and date of birth of the family member, including evidence of relationship (birth certificate, marriage certificate etc).

Our advice
We encourage those wishing to apply for an emergency visa to travel to New Zealand in response to the Christchurch attacks, to apply as soon as possible.
