Michael is a senior partner and heads our business team. He specialises in advising on business acquisitions and disposals, capital raising (debt and equity, public and private), general commercial contracts, insolvency and debt restructuring.
Michael's sector experience includes private equity, transport, information technology, tourism and leisure, property investment and development, financial services, manufacturing and retail.
Prior to joining Cavell Leitch, Michael had some high profile positions in firms both in New Zealand and London.
He is the current chair of Cavell Leitch’s board of directors.
Mike assisted us recently on an acquisition of a significant family owned business. His grasp of the commercial and legal issues was strong - as was his patience and support during protracted shareholder negotiations. Mike has a can-do attitude and will get the job done.
