Lauren advises and advocates for clients both in and out of court on a range of family law matters, including the division of relationship property, contracting out agreements, parenting, family violence (protection orders), and proceedings under the Protection of Personal Property Rights Act 1988.
She takes a pragmatic and compassionate approach, recognising that her clients are often navigating some of the most challenging times in their lives. She prioritises clear communication and works closely with clients to provide practical advice and support throughout the process.
Lauren joined the Relationships Team at Cavell Leitch in 2026, having previously worked in firms in Auckland, North Canterbury and Christchurch. She began her legal career after graduating from Victoria University of Wellington in 2019 with an LLB and a BA in French and History, and has since specialised in family law, where her passion lies.
Outside of work, Lauren is a member of the Law Society’s Family Law Committee and regularly volunteers at Community Law Canterbury, reflecting her commitment to giving back to the community. She also enjoys spending time outdoors, going for a run, and spending quality time with family and friends.
